Here's Why, Dr. Ainley, I Ran

The penguin(nihilist) spoke:

All the whites around me have paled my dreams into obsolete fragments.
The dreams to behold mid and high chroma
Blue, green, crimson; and dreams that long for floral fragrance.
I want the world in full; no, nihilism is not my dogma.
Here's why, Dr. Ainley, I ran.
I ran towards the mountain free,
and free, and free, and free.

I sing sullen notes; morbid I breathe; I walk on edges extreme
And if above my head, another extreme floats, I can walk, too.
The sun is no sadist. I yearn for honeyed beam
Ah, the cloud might roll like snowballs do.
Here's why, Dr. Ainley, I ran.
I ran towards the mountain free,
and free, and free, and free.

Jagged rocks in that mount, might tear my feet like
The atoms of Mars stifle a human lungs, a species
Wingless as me, ribbed and fragiled
Still tends to flee, to see. With beliefs.
Here's why, Dr. Ainley, I ran.
I ran towards the mountain free,
and free, and free, and free.

Wow! The urge to flee towards something, not just away from something has been beautifully evoked. ❤️
